The Military Department. of the L. N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University.Гумилева was established by the Order of the Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan No. 57/73 dated February 19/6, 2002 in order to implement the Decree of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan No. 1403 dated November 6, 2001.
The Military Department is guided in its work by the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Decree of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated May 24, 2006 No. 449, the order of the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated March 1/7, 2000 No. 46/202, combined arms charters, orders and directives of the Minister of Defense, charters, the order of the Rector of the University dated December 22, 2008 No. 15/5-z works in accordance with the approved regulations of the Military Department ЕНУ им.Л. of the L. N. Gumilyov ENU, quality instructions.
The Military Department is a structural division of the university.
Organizational and structural management of the Military Department named after L. N. Gumilyov. Military training of university students is conducted in seven military-accounting specialties for the training of reserve officers:
"Combat use of combined-arms units of units and formations";
"Combat use of ground units of military intelligence";
"Information and analytical activities";
"Financial support";
"Military journalism";
"Geoinformation systems";
"Organization of educational and ideological work in the Ground forces";
According to the program of reserve sergeants, it is conducted in four military accounting specialties:
"Small arms (toomandir departments)";
"Squad leader - commanderof a combat vehicle (оевыхinfantry fighting vehicles)";
"Military intelligence";
"Intelligence (Special forces units)".
Military training of students in the specialties of the military Department is aimed at training reserve officers for the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan, morally stable, disciplined, able to keep state and military secrets, with high moral qualities, as well as having the necessary knowledge, intelligence and skills necessary for successful performance of official duties in their activities.
The importance of patriotic education of young people as a special type of public service formation of preparation of junior schoolchildren for military service is the main direction of the military department.
Military-patriotic education is aimed at determining the role and place of each citizen in independent Kazakhstan and serving him, at feeling super-high responsibility for fulfilling the requirements of the upcoming military service, at acquiring the qualities and skills necessary to repay military debt.
On the basis of the military department ЕНУ им.Л. of the L. N. Gumilyov ENU, a Center for military-patriotic educationwas established. Meetings with veterans of the Great Patriotic War, international soldiers, veterans of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan are held annually.
Every year, on Victory Day, a soldier's field kitchen is open on the parade ground of the military department, studentsы perform songs on military themes, and battle leaflets are posted that glorify the exploits and heroism of the older generation at the front.
Students of the military department regularly participate in various military-patriotic events held in the city.
Admission of students to the military department is carried out on a competitive basis within the state order approved by the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Training sessions for students are conducted профессорскоby the teaching staff of the highest category from among the officers of the service and reserve.
To conduct training sessions for students, the military department has equipped classrooms for all disciplines of military training: a computer class, interactive equipment, a tactical platform, a drill ground, a rifle town, a town for protection against weapons of mass destruction, a park (an equipped garage for 3 units of infantry fighting vehicles), a combined-arms situation and goals. There is a small kit and a computer system, demonstration class, laser shooting complex, a sufficient number of small arms and military equipment.
